These folks went out of their way to help us! We had been taken advantage of by another auto repair place who charged us an unbelievable amount for brakes & rotors on our van; we went to EiAR for the same on our SUV. We were shocked by the low price and quick turn around. As it turns out we showed them the receipt from the van's repair at their competitor (a tire store that does repairs) and they said their standard price is FOUR TIMES lower than that place, which had really gouged us. We're about to go back for 2 more needed repairs and it's nice to trust that we'll get quality service and a fair price.

I took my car in several months ago due to electrical issues with the turn signal. They worked quickly and efficiently, following the electrical system from the steering wheel all the way into the trunk where they found the problem and made the repairs. The price was reasonable and was done in a timely manner. They didn't try to make unnecessary repairs and checked in with me to make sure I knew what was going on. They even got me to work and back since I don't have friends or family in the area. Will definitely be going back in the future.

A+ for Excellence

We've taken our son's cars to Excellence in Auto for the last three years. The company is nice, knowledgeable and reasonable. It is one car repair company that doesn't try to fix things that aren't broken and they communicate with the customer. The location is easy to find and navigate. I always make an appointment because they are "popular" with people wanting honest, actual car repair.

I highly recommend this place...Honest, caring and helpful. The owner is Tom and he is a down to earth friendly person who will tell you exactly what is going on with your car. It seems he always goes the extra mile to save me money. I won't go to any other mechanic.

I have tried many of the "Tire Stores" for repair and found that they just replace parts until the car works correctly. The mechanics at Excellence actually search for the malfunctioning part and only replace what is necessary. Thank you!

Disappointed with "Excellence"

I took my car here a couple months ago. Over the next three weeks, I had to initiate almost all of the contact with them just to find out what was going on with my car. Three times they told me it would be done by a certain date, only to have the date pushed back. Their initial estimate ended up being about 600 dollars less than the final actual cost. They were able to get my car running again, but two months later, I had to take it in again with a related problem, which ended up costing another 400 dollars. This time, I took my car somewhere else, because I couldn't afford the possibility of being without a car for a week or more. I had heard good things about them from friends of mine, so I was very surprised and disappointed with my experience.

Have you ever been burned by a less than reputable mechanic? I have and that is why being able to rely on one's business ethics and skills is critical to me. I have taken my car for repairs here for over four years and have not been disappointed. I come back because they are HONEST, reliable, reasonably priced and trustworthy. I came in with a newly purchased car and told them I wanted the brakes and drums replaced (because a dealer said they had to be replaced). When I picked up my car, I was very pleased to find out that the drums did not have to be replaced. That is why I drive across town, past all the closer repair shops. Peace of mind is priceless.
