Huntel Security

I thought that HunTel was the higher priced choice in the Omaha/CB market because they have been around for so long and see to be the most organized out of the independant dealers. I was very happy to learn that that was not true! We recently took proposals for a new phone system (43 phones, a small customer service and service area, sales, various oiffice personnel and executives). We NEEDED to have a good phone system with reliable voice mail (we were replacing an old Avaya system that had never worked right and that we were getting bad service on). But we WANTED to have IP phones, automated attendant that was 'smart' and could route calls by skill set- and we wanted some intergration to the computer system too.



We were shown 3 different bids from 3 different vendors and were overwhelemed by the result. HunTel actually was the lowest cost bid- AND they gave us more of what we 'wanted' and of course what we needed too. Of the other 2, 1 was higher with just the basic system (none of the other things we wanted) and they had almost double the labor hours that HunTel did. The 3rd bid was very similiar to HunTel's in the what the system did and it was actually $600 or so less than the HunTel bid was, but that's was the only thing they had in their favor. The equipment was not as nice or sturdy, the technology had all kinds of little "limitaitions" (it will do this, but not that; or it will only do that if you give up this). HunTel just took a lot of notes from us, asked a lot of questions and really seemed to have no limits to what they could do for us. The other 2 were very cautious about spending time to get what we needed and both mentioned several times that they would have to charge us for spending too much time 'consulting' before we became a customer.



Add that to the fact that HunTel really has been around for a long time, and they have a good sized staff that really understands and cares about what we do and how to make the phones right for what we need, I know that we made a really good choice with HunTel and I am very happy that we decided to look at them. They are the simply the best phone system company we've ever dealt with in my 16 years with this company. I have recommended them and will continue to do so.
