A Better Massage Clinic Inc

My scheduled appointment, today, was prompted by significant pain in my shoulder, which has been an on-going issue. It has been treated with injections by a physician and pain medications, for a couple of years. I also have been trying to work through or around the increasing pain and immobility for months.
The setting is clean, pleasant but did not have a "clinical feel" to it. It had more of a comforting/simple kind ambiance. Today, the well-qualified and very pleasant therapist, Christina, provided the expert massage treatment which was just as I anticipated, having been there before, but met her for the first time, today.
Yes, there were those expected moments of pain that are needed to get the tissues to move from their near-frozen positions. I let her know when the pain was approaching the less tolerable levels. She responded appropriately, moving the resistant body parts in various ways, as we chatted amicably.
It has been over 8 hours since the treatment was completed. I have MORE mobility in my shoulder now, than I had when I left the clinic. Christina's knowledge, experience and professionalism is appreciated because of the way that she taught me what she was doing, why, the expected results, and likely prognosis. I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor soon. I have reason to believe, after today's session, that I may possibly avoid having surgery, judging by the amount of increased mobility that I am experiencing in only the last 8 hours of time.
