Established in 1960, the Pearland Police Department provides a variety of law enforcement services. It is organized into various divisions, including administration, criminal investigations, community services, K-9, patrol, specialized, support services, traffic and warrants. The department s internal affairs division investigates allegations of police misconduct. Its crime victim liaison unit provides assistance for crime victims in a variety of areas, including crisis intervention, victim advocacy and crime victims compensation. The department s patrol division responds to emergency and nonemergency calls. It has a bike patrol team that represents the department at several events, such as the Little League Opening Day, The Trick or Treat Trail, Winterfest and Tour de Lites. The Pearland Police Department s communications division provides emergency response in relation to police, fire and medical services. Its warrant division investigates and pursues suspects who have outstanding warrants. The department is located in Pearland, Texas.
