This place is great,even if you aren't in there spending 100s of dollars they are happy to talk to you about anything your interested in (hobby related) I'm Big into rc helicopters and they have the knowledge and expertise to help me along the way.

Wow, It's been a long time since I've been to a hobby store this good. Hugh place with a great selection. Prices are very competitive and the staff was very helpful with a problem I had with an item that I had not even purchased from them. My kids loved the place and was thrilled by the fact that a staff member flew a small plane inside the store for them to watch. A good day all around.

I have been going to this store for years and have never had any issue with them taking care of a problem that I have had. It sounds like there is more to the story. And you have to be joking about Model Box having more RC stuff!!! Not even close.

GREAT STORE!!! Best selection of trains and unique train accessories anywhere in the area.Very reasonable prices. I found a train engine that was $30 less than anywhere else. Needless to say, I bought it. Great layout in the window, my kids loved it. My new to go to train store.

Large store and a Great selection of HO and N Scale model trains and RC stuff. But Model Train prices are at the High End and MSRP is the usual charge. No discounts except for a 10% for clubs. So 10% off the MSRP plus tax is no real savings. The items I checked supplied by Walther's did not have the 25% off offered by Walther's. If you bundle your items you can save more on-line + shipping vs. MSRP +8% tax. Within 50 mi. of Pelham there are several LHS whose prices start at 20-25% OFF the MSRP. No refunds for unopened returned items. Store credit only. So use a Credit Card and then have the CC company get your refund.

Be aware that if you purchase from this store and something is defective, there are no exchanges or replacements made at the store. The item is sent out for repair and you are then stuck with a repaired item. The owner told me that he could not replace it with another because he could not resell the item as new, when that is basically what was done to me. Bought a new item that was dead on arrival, never worked out of the box and that is still what I am stuck with. If you do decide to deal with them, have them take the time to demo it before you pay period. Other than that, the Model Box in Hoover has more R/C products, considerably more experience and support new purchases.

new owners are very helpful and this is the best local hobby shop in my opinion
