Overall

On September 26, 2015 I bought a used car from Pacifico. They tacked on a fee of $331.00 for getting plates. I asked at least twice during the purchase if it would be a problem that I was an out of state buyer – they confirmed that they could get the tags to me on time.

I got my car's Maryland State Inspection done on 9/30/15 – just to give them a little extra time and make sure that my tags were processed well before the temporary plate expired on October 25. I sent the inspection by FedEx (expedited) and included a letter reiterating my contact information, and asking them to call or email if any other info was needed to process my paperwork.

Since then I have made over a dozen calls asking for the status of the paperwork. Nothing but excuses...I'm constantly told the paperwork is "in processing". At least once I was disconnected when they noticed my number – even though I had been respectful throughout and had not raised my voice or used profanity, etc. Customer service claimed to be transferring me to titling and would dump my calls in the main menu to get me off the phone. Employees were always "sick" or "not available" or "on lunch break". How convenient.

On the week of 10/19 a customer service rep GUARANTEED the tags WOULD BE SENT before the 10/25/15 deadline – this was not done. My car is sitting in my driveway right now, unusable. Unless, of course, I want to get pulled over & arrested for expired tags.

My dad went in person to Philadelphia, on his own time, to get this resolved – they were as useless in person as they were over the phone.

This Saturday I went to the DMV in Maryland, taking time out of my own morning, to resolve this – they can't help me on a weekend. I will have to take a vacation day from work to get the tags & processing done myself, to the tune of hundreds of dollars – even though Pacifico already charged $331 for this. I will need to pay for a rental car out of pocket – that's another expense, in addition to my lost vacation day.

I called Pacifico from the DMV for an explanation – the rep said she was getting me to a manager – then dumped me in the main menu so she didn't have to talk to me.

Completely DISGUSTED. We've got breach of contract, material misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, and consequential damages. Rest assured that I'm adding up all the expenses from this fiasco – and they are mounting fast. I sincerely hope nobody else has to deal with their "customer service" again. I am filing complaints about their business practices, and will be taking all available [legal] measures as well to get my costs covered. They haven't heard the last of me.

I had a great experience at Pacifico Hyundai! Brad Lovitz was a very helpful salesman. He wasn't pushy and gave me all the information I was looking for. I did some research at other dealerships but found exactly what I was looking for at Pacifico!

Terrible Service

Pacifico is the worst dealership I have ever been to. You hear about the car salesmen being shady and deceitful, and you experience it first hand when you come to Pacifico. When I went to this dealership after making an appointment to look at a specific car, the dealer could not locate the car. So after an hour and a half of waiting, I left, only to receive a call that they found it. Since I was in need of a car, I came back to look at the car. The people there were friendly (for a good reason) until I bought the car. They told me how I can contact them if I needed anything. But this proved to be false. I found out that the car had serious problems after I purchased it and when I called the dealership not more than a week later to talk to someone about taking the car in, I never received a single call or an e-mail back. The managers there never apologized for their lack of customer service. I never was in touch with the dealer again. Instead, I received annoying e-mails and letters talking about how much they wanted to be in touch with me and my new car. Finally, I got in a car accident and when I wanted to receive a refund for the warranty, they directed me to the wrong people and claimed that it would take me 8 weeks to receive my refund when it was only supposed to take me 3 weeks. They also told me that the warranty refund check would be sent by the warranty company, not them, when in actuality, they were the ones who were supposed to cut me the check. So long story short, Pacifico is the most irresponsible, deceitful, and careless car dealership. I have never seen such lack of customer service, courtesy, and consideration. I will never come back to this dealership again and will inform as many people as I can about this horrible so-called car dealership.
