Sit Means Sit Dog Training

I have never met a more caring and professional group of dog trainers. Our dog has changed greatly from the anxious, scared pup she used to be. We are now able to take her on car rides, take her to do errands with us and we don't have to worry about her anxiety causing any issues. I am so glad we have such a good school as a resource to us.

Our dog Slick travels with us a lot and comes to work with us everyday. But we've always had trouble controlling her strong personality. While she still has her awesome personality, she is so much calmer and she actually listens to us. I don't mind if she barks when someone new comes to the door, and I wasn't sure if training her out of behaviours would also take away some of the aspects of her personality that I liked. But, it didn't! She sometimes will still bark if someone knocks at the door, but instead of jumping on them as soon as she could get to them, she will now listen when I tell her "it's ok, get back on your bed". It's such a relief and we are so thankful! Sit means Sit did a fantastic job!

I was recommended by a local German Shepherd rescue to look into obedience training through Colby and Andrea Self with Sit Means Sit dog training in the Raleigh area. So I scheduled an appt with Colby for a demonstration, I was shocked! He showed me how he has trained Ranger and I was sold! We immediately went into training my 1 year old German Shepherd Adrix.



When I say Colby is good, he is GOOD!!! In the first lesson he taught my dog how to sit and place all within the first 15-20 minutes of his first session, I was extremely impressed! We continued training for the next couple months and my dog transformed from a super high energy dog to a fully trained GSD with absolutely no behavior or obedience problems. My dog is constantly getting attention for how well behaved he is everywhere from our neighborhood to the dog park, I recommend Sit Means Sit everywhere I go! The tools Colby gave me and his expert instruction shows in my dog everywhere we go. I now have no reservations on bringing my dog anywhere because I am confident that he has been trained by the best, his high energy and drive can now be focused on tasks around the house as he helps in making my life a little easier with the training and retrieve that was taught in my lessons. We continue to schedule from time to time just to refresh his training, the lessons are worth every penny! Do yourself and your dog a favor and look into training through Colby and Andrea, you won’t be disappointed.
