        How many diagnostics are needed?

        I took my car in for a tune up and was told that I needed a diagnostic ($99.99) to make sure that it needed a tuneup. I knew it was misfiring. They did the diagnostic and told me that the computer says it is misfiring, but that it didn't need a tuneup. However, they did not know why it was misfiring and that for $150 they would do a level 2 diagnostic. I thought they should diagnose the car until they find out what is wrong. I gave them $100 to tell me what I already knew and my car is still misfiring. What a rip off!!!!! Why is there more than one diagnostic test and why do they charge for each one separately? Again, what a rip off!!!! I would give Quality Tune up zero stars, but the computer makes me click one.
