I would not even give this place a one star! I had my car inspected today and NOT happy at all!!!! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. First off, they told me I had a leak in my fuel canister and I had another person look at it who is very reliable and they said I don't have a leak at all and NOTHING is ever on the ground when I move my car! Second they broke my brake light off!!! Any one who knows about cars, you have to go in from the inside NOT rip off the light cover. Now I have to pay another $60++ to have my car inspected by a HONEST person and fix my 3rd brake light AND cover. I will also be making a complaint to BBB AND the Senator!!!! This is B.S.!!! NEVER EVER trust aamco, they will rip you off!!! This is the the kind of dishonesty that put them out of business the first time before and then came back and NOTHING changed!!! Well I will NOT stand for this, I want my money back or have my inspection pass because there is NO leak!

Helpful and honest manager/owner... advises on repairs and costs and makes me feel like I'm in good hands. Good communication through the repair process. I would definitely recommend AAMCO of Reading to friends and family. Also, they're the only place that seems to know Saabs and other foreign cars well.

This is a place you can trust ...

This is a place you can trust to bring your car to. I had taken my car to another shop for an inspection and was told I needed parts I didn't really need. I am glad I brought it to AAMCO for the free check they offer. When I asked them if I needed brakes in the front they said no and even took me out and showed me they looked good yet. They were not even half through there life.

I just bought the car a few months ago so I wasn't sure how bad they were. I guess some shops take advantage of you because you are a women. Definately don't feel that way at the AAMCO on Lancaster avenue in Reading,Pa. They will be my only choice for car service now.

I would caution anyone who considers this garage. The owner does very shady business. They advertise Free Engine Light Checking. I contacted the owner prior to dropping my car off and explained the issue I was having along with the code I had read at Advance Auto. The owner said they could fix the problem. After two days and each time I had to follow up on the status of the car they said it is going to take "Advance Diagnostics" and is outside the "Free" engine check @ 80 per hour and would take 1 - 1 1/2 hours of work. I told them I wanted it fixed and they said the issue was a hose and charge for for 2 hours diagnostics and 5.00 hose. To make things better my engine light came on again in about 2 weeks. I had the code read again at advance auto to see if it was the same problem. The same issue returned. I contacted the AAMCO and they looked at my car again (they didn't charge me this time to look at it) however if I wanted it fixed it would be 450.00 for Carbon Build Up.
