Les Schwab Tires

On 7/13/2010 Les Schwab charged me for services and equipement that I did not need.



I took my verhicle into LS on 7/12 because it was making a squeaking noise near the front tires. They performed an inspection and reported that it needed a new hub assembly for the front driver side wheel which would cost $453.00.



I arrived the next day and paid for the work. I got into the car and the squeaking noise was still there. There was no differnece at all. I didn't even make it out of their parking lot.



I went back in and had the mechanic come out and listen to the noise. They kept the car again and did some more inspecting of the area where the noise was coming from. They then told me that I would need a new u-joint.



I was in Seattle at the time for work so I told them to go ahead and fix it. When I returned from Seattle to pickup the car they told me that all it really needed was some grease on the driveline. That it did not need the u-joint afterall. I drove the vehicle and the noise was gone. All I needed was a few dollars worth of grease.



They told me that they would not reverse the charge for the hub assembly since I needed it. Clearly I did not need it. The charge is still under disput with my credit card company.



Do yourself a favor and stay away from this Les Schwab.
