Our crews recycle existing surfaces, grade and shape work sites, and pave hot mix asphalt with the highest degree of quality control. Rochester Sand and Gravel has been in business since 1946, beginning with a mining operation located in northeast Rochester. In 1962, Rochester Sand and Gravel was purchased by Mark Hindermann and Bill Fitzgerald. They continued the mining and paving operations until the company was acquired by Mathy Construction Company in 1998. Rochester Sand and Gravel is a leader in the asphalt paving industry for producing and placing hot mix asphalt in Southeastern Minnesota. We provide services for government, municipal, commercial and residential projects. These projects include interstate highways, airports, township and county roads, parking lots, tennis courts, bike paths and residential driveways.
