Dr. Swartwout completed his doctoral degree at Medaille University located in Buffalo, NY. He completed his Predoctoral Internship and Postdoctoral Residency at WellSpan Philhaven CBT (APA Accredited) where he received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Swartwout specializes in the treatment of adolescents, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. Dr. Swartwout has experience working with individuals experiencing symptoms of ADHD, depressive/mood disorders, trauma-and-stressor related disorders. He aims to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic environment as well as affirming care to LGBTQIA2S+, gender nonconforming, gender fluid, and non-binary communities. Additionally, he has specialized training in psychological testing and assessment including ADHD evaluation, bariatric and spinal stimulator surgery, diagnostic assessment, and cognitive assessment. Dr. Swartwout has extensive experience providing services to individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds in a variety of settings (Inpatient Psychiatry, Emergency Department, Community Mental Health, Primary Care, and College Counseling). Dr. Swartwout enjoys working with teens, young adults, and athletes.
