Discount Tire

I have never had any issues with any other Discount Tire Store, but Steven, the asst. manager at the Round Rock location is a total A**Hole. I have purchased many set of tires from different Discount Tire stores over the years, but in this case, because Tirerack.com had tires on sale for $300 less than DT, I purchased it from them instead. Like I've done several times before, I took the tires to DT to have them mounted and balanced for a reasonable fee (about $30 per tire). My mistake was is not going to the Cedar Park location like I normally do but going to the RR location. The counter sales rep was really nice, but when he went to get a price from his manager, Steven, he came back embarrassed to tell me that his manager said that it would be $100 per tire for mounting and balancing. I thought he was joking, but when I spoke to the manager, Steven, he flat out told me "since we already lost your business by you purchasing from one of our competitors, the price is the price for the mounting and balancing." Even with my sales record pulled up on their screen showing that I've purchased easily over $3,000 in tires in the last 2 years from Discount Tire, he would not budge on the ridiculous price of $100 per tire for the mounting and balancing. I told him that he was being short sighted and that DT would be losing a long time customer with his disservice, but his response was basically, "well take your tires and go." It is a shame that a great company like Discount Tires has their reputation marred by idiots like Steven.
