MRI
It is important that you bring your MRI, CT, and X-Ray images with you on an imaging cd to your appointment. Without these images your physician will not be able to properly evaluate you. If you do not bring your images there is a possibility of your appointment being rescheduled. Some images are available online. General Surgery
Dr. Kureshi is a board-certified neurosurgeon who has practiced neurosurgery for more than thirty years in San Diego, joining NMC in 2000 following his residency At Duke University. Dr. Kureshi received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, and his medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship and a neurosurgery residency at Duke University Medical Center, where he served as chief neurosurgical resident.
Sciatica
This condition is an irritation or compression of one or more nerve roots in the lumbar spine. Because these nerves travel to the hips, buttocks, legs and feet, an injury in the lumbar spine can cause symptoms in these areas. Sciatica may result from a variety of problems with the bones and tissues of the lumbar spinal column.
