Mike's Transmissions

My car wouldn't engage properly when I placed it in gear. I called several repair shops and chose Mikes Transmissions. I'm glad I did. He looked at my car and told me it had internal wear and tear. He took it apart then called me up and offered to show me what was bad and explain what should be done. He spoke to me in a way that helped me understand what I needed, I really appreciated that. He rebuilt my transmission, and it drives better than before my transmission acted up. He found some bad vacuum hoses and replaced them at no charge. That made my engine run a lot smoother too. I feel like my car is reliable again!

Went into Mikes Transmissions based on reviews from this site and others. He's a stand up guy and very knowledgeable. He rebuilt my Honda Accord transmission and completed it as promised and for a fair price. I also noticed in his customer waiting area, that he and his wife donate to many charitable causes. There were so many letters of appreciation by many different organizations. That's the kind of place I like to support. Call Mike he'll treat you right!

I've been to Mikes Transmissions several times with different cars through the years. I had one transmission rebuilt and and a few cars serviced. They have always been professional. I've recommended Mikes to several friends and family members, and have always been thanked for sending them to an honest shop. The shop is organized and clean. Mike and his wife run a great business. His mechanics are good and always get the job done right the first time. I highly recommend Mikes Transmissions!

I contacted Mike regarding my Dodge Dually transmission after taking it to a local dealer. If I left my truck with the dealer I would have had a $5K + bill and someone elses rebuilt transmission. Instead for $2k, Mike, not only rebuilt my transmisson, he also reinstalled my Bank's Kit and torque convertor correctly that was previously done by a local San Jose Dealer.My truck has never run better and he completed the project in 3 days.Mike is a true professional and an expert in his field. I will continue to take my vehicles to his shop for years to come for all automotive needs since he has a great repair shop in addition to transmission repair.Bill and Debi San Jose CA

Do NOt go to this shop! I took my car in and was supposed to get it back on a specified day. That day came and went, and was told by Mike that his wife didn't show up to work so he was short staffed. I was renting a rental car while my car was at his shop. The delay kept streteching, and I kept getting one excuse after another. Initially, the price was reasonable, but once it was all said and done I would have gone somewhere else as it wouuld have come out to be the same cost.Mike is extremely unprofessional, yelling at me on the phone that I didn't understand his situaltion- them being a small shop and in order to properly take care of my car and take it to where it needed to go they would have to close the shop- as if this was my problem. This ordeal has been a nightmare. Do not get your car serviced here...

This place is great! I thought I required a rebuilt transmission. But Mikes Transmissions checked it out and found I had a cracked flywheel. The repairs were done at a very resonable price. Thanks Mike!!Ron Hampton, San Jose CA
