Caring for an Alzheimer’s patient - Looking after dad was taking its toll on our mother. She was determined to take care of him ever since he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. But as time passed and he began to get worse, the strain was beginning to show on her.



My sister and I then put our foot down and called Visiting Angels San Jose. We asked for customized home care service for just four hours a day so mother would have some time to herself. They readily agreed and it’s working out just fine. She gets relief, and dad – well he doesn’t know the difference.

Visiting Angels San Jose to the rescue - It was a bit of a problem when dad was discharged from hospital after by-pass surgery. He’s pretty obstinate and insisted he could manage on his own. Very grudgingly he agreed to have a caregiver from Visiting Angels San Jose till he had recovered completely. She looks after the place, cooks his meals, helps sponge him and gives him his medication. Dad realizes now that he really couldn’t have done without caregiver. This elder’s home care facility has been wonderful.

This is a professionally run elders home care facility in the Bay Area. It has excellent caregivers who are all background checked and screened. We were allowed to select the caregiver of our choice which was a relief. They also had a good system in place to monitor the caregiver, so we settled on Visiting Angels San Jose without a second thought. They came through very fast and helped us go through the transition when dad was discharged from the nursing home. There’s always someone available at the office when we need to talk to them. It’s given us great relief in our crisis.

This guy has harassed our family for the last several months. Fortunately I found out there is another San Jose office on Saratoga Avenue - THOSE are the good Visiting Angels. This other San Jose office on Speak Lane is terrible, with unhappy employees and horrible business practices. Save yourself the agony and don't use them!
