Food was excellent. Raven's recommendation of substituting avocado for tomato on the crab omelet was wonderful. I will be back many more times. Keep up the great work.

Professional and friendly aren't the first things you remember when you think about Lowell's Restaurant. The amazing views and even more amazing food. When you take the food and the views and then put in the customer service, they can't be beat. You need to give this place a try, you won't be sorry.

#1 reason to come to Lowell's Restaurant...THE VIEW! It can't be beat. On top of a great view the food there is to die for. If it's a drink your looking for, look no further, Lowell's has all the drinks you can ask for. For the whole experience of Seattle, go to Lowell's.

This is a great place to take ...

This is a great place to take out-of-towners for a great view and some stiff cocktails. I usually head directly to the 2nd floor bar, pull up a stool, and order the best Mojito in the city. They make it with fresh mint and lime from the market of course! Great place to escape the madness of the Market, and you'll always find an eclectic mix of both locals and tourists. I've never gone there without striking up a conversation with some interesting people.

Some of the things I love about Lowell's:

1. The views... the first being the natural view of the water from the windows, and the second being the view of all of the different types of people who come in there while they visit the market.

2. The staff, they are so friendly!

3. The bar: this is the best place to grab mimosas and bloody Marys (and if need be-- jaeger shots) with a group of friends the morning after a rough one.

4. The food is really good too. I mean, you are not going to find anything gourmet, but delish for sure.

Seattle's favorite Egg's Benedict (get them with the crab), and for sure Seattle's best view, this place is not to miss. For an easy breakfast, just order at the counter on the market level, then saunter up to the 3rd floor for non-stop views of waterfront and ferry action. It is such the Seattle breakfast/brunch/lunch spot that I can't believe I just discovered it!

Almost Classy Since 1957!

General Info
Seattle markets hideaway three floors of water view seating with fresh seafood daily. Lowellā€™s Restaurant & Bar has been serving the public for close to 100 years. In the early 1900ā€²s Lowellā€™s was a combination coffee roaster, peanut roaster and cafeteria that served the citizens of the Seattle when they visited the ā€œPublic Marketā€ to purchase fresh farm produce, seafood and dairy goods. The ā€œflagshipā€ Manningā€™s Cafeteria, then became Lowellā€™s in 1957, and has remained so ever since From the front entrance in the main arcade of Pike Place Market, it is unlikely that most visitors realize Lowellā€™s actually has three floors of seatingā€”all offering world class views of the Olympic Mountains, the ferries crossing Puget Sound and a seagullā€™s view of the Port of Seattle. On the first and third floors, you order first with the cashier/barista and then find a view seat and your food will follow you shortly. The second floor ā€œView Loungeā€ offers traditional ā€œsit downā€ table service as well as a full bar selection of unique handmade cocktails, microbrews, and wine. It is here on the second floor guests may choose from either the above mentioned view of the waterfront seating or a booth overlooking the parade of people shopping below that is acknowledged as the best ā€œpeople watching spot in Seattle.ā€ We are proud to be the destination meeting spot of locals gathering to go out elsewhere, business travelers needing a casual centrally located lunch location, multi-generational families and couples gathering for their weekly week-end breakfasts as well as ā€œThe Living Roomā€ of the Pike Place Market that all of our neighbors frequent after a hard days work in the vegetable stalls, fish markets, craft stalls and street singing and painting.
