I would give minus stars if possible. They are absolutely horrible at there job. I was supposed to get a package at my business and didn't get it. I called the post office because the tracking g said tried to deliver but business was closed even though we were in fact not closed (seeing as though we were there seeing clients) post office said to come pick up in the morning. When I showed up to pick it up they could not find it and was told that they didn't have it there and the carrier probably had it. When asked why it was marked as closed they told me that it was a substitute carrier and if he couldn't find the address he just marked them as closed. How hard is it to find the safeway Plaza in sequim? It's in the middle of freaking town!! They were unable to give me my package at the post office that I was told the previous day that it would be there for pick up and they told me I was given bad information but I can go stand outside and wait for the carrier until 3. >.<

This post office is worse than only 1 star! I spend several thousands of dollars on postage. Occasionally they will pick it up and occasionally they won't. It makes no difference if I fill out the stamps.com schedule a pick up form or not. In the last year alone I've had something like a 1/2 dozen mailmen/women. One was very competent and I was very happy, but she wasn't around long! They make me keep my mailbox 1/2 block away from my house too! Apparently it is too inconvienent to stop at my house and my neighbors as we front an alley. Too bad there is not some company that picks up and delivers stuff right to your house (smh). Very high breakage rate too. We wrap very well in bubble wrap an plaster FRAGILE stickers all over the boxes. 10% get broken. Pics of the boxes show they are totally crushed. Can't believe it is not on purpose. They have cost me $1000's of dollars. Here is a pic on how I get my mail everyday. They cram it as far back in the mailbox as they can! (see pic)

Absolute HORRIBLE service. I have a post office box, a mailbox, and a doorstep; and the courier randomly decides to refuse a package (that I paid $20 shipping on) back to China for absolute NO reason. It has been three months and my package is still in “transit” due to the courier error. And to add to it, they would not attempt to call and intervene the package to have it shipped back to me. So now I have to pay shipping twice. This could have been unavoidable if they could have just done their job properly. Not to mention, I have had NUMEROUS errors with the wrong mail, and the failure to put yellow slips in my box. Packages will sit at the post office for weeks if I don’t track the package and ask for it. Continual disappointment with problem resolution.

We always get somebody else's mails in our mail box. If we have any mail that we want to send out that we put it in our mail box with the flag raised, it could days before a post man or a post lady would noticed....although he/she had open the box many times to put a new mail in. Notified the post office, but the problem still exists.

Our community deserves better. 1) Overflowing boxes of mail delivered to wrong address. Trash strewn all around at all hours. 2) Service at the counter has actually gotten worse over the 15 years we've lived here. 3) High employee turnover reflects poor management, poor attitude. Many of us have spoken directly to the postmaster(s), but they don't stick around very long so nothing improves. Faxes and calls to Regional Office in Tacoma have little or no effect. Complaints sent to Wash DC got a single response "not enough information." Worst Post Office in America! Indeed!

A Broken System

The Sequim Post Office is THE definition of being trapped in a world of dysfunction –– Long lines, one clerk. Mail forwarding is a constant problem "return to sender." Postal carriers' excuse: "I'm just a temp." STILL NO POSTMASTER AT THIS FACILITY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a Minus Rating for ruining our family's Christmas? Received yellow slips for parcels too big for box ...requested key for lock boxes 3 times. Called for status update and was told there are no packages with my address and to contact senders. Golly, if we only knew who they were! However, we did receive a lovely assortment of cards this year - addressed to other people.

Same location 10 years and we STILL get mail addressed to other businesses in the area. Mail carrier either cannot read the info clearly marked on the mailboxes or is too lazy to deliver to the correct address. Every company in our complex has called or written to Sequim postmasters (yes, all of them) and regional office in Seattle. Worst post office in the USA, indeed.

Worst post office in America. Customers are greeted with an array of dos and don'ts posted on doors and windows and 2 (yes, TWO) boxes for mail delivered to wrong addresses. Slow, untidy, dysfunctional and unchanged for over 20 years despite repeated calls to regional and national PO staff. Truly a disservice to our community.

I'm sick and tired of this pos...

I'm sick and tired of this post office and how they handle the mail, they say they leave messages for packages that they don't deliver and a message is never left. They over fill the mail box with packages that are too big to fit instead of just taking it up to the house (just laziness) and then say they left a message when nothing was left. I'm very sick with cancer and get my medicine through the mail and 3 times now it made it to Sequim post office and because postal worker didn't feel like driving up to house to deliver I had to wait yet another day. Don't even try calling there and expect any kind of sympathy they don't want to hear any complaints (heartless). So if I were to go above this post office whom should I contact? Can't believe that these are what we in Sequim are stuck with and no alternative, can anyone with a heart help me out?

Bad Post office. Sit! Stay!

Lost mail and wrong mail are a specialty.

Late mail - 2 to 4 months from same town (up to 2 years after postmark for out of town)

"Come back when we're open" yelled clerk through the inside door to during regular business hours

"We don't hold mail for PO Box customers, it's too much work for our clerks."

Closed PO Box account based on anonymous phone call - postmaster couldn't explain that one.

Single clerk at counter most days, lunch hours and holidays especially painful.

Small town friendly, big town apathy.

Sequim Post Office is very inadequate!!!!

I am not sure what is going on in this post office........mail is held much longer than it should be. I sent a payment to a resident there that did some work for me in my rental and they not only did not deliver the mail but held it for 6 weeks. All of the sudden my rental is not getting its mail after TEN years........the mail is being sent back to me saying that there is NO mail receptacle????? This happened AFTER I called to complain!!! Nothing has changed!

I am so frustrated with this office!!!!
