Carolina Auto Connection

Run away from this place! These guys are dishonest crooks. Sold us a car with a repossessed title and did not disclose dispite having asked. We found out the car was repossessed a week later when we got the title in the mail. It didn't show up on a title check because they never transferred the title to their own name. They straight up lied about it, said they got the car from a dealer.

I'm so upset to say that I really thought I was dealing with some good people, at Carolina auto connection, but since I bought my 2003 BMW 10 days ago. My car will not start as of 4 days ago, and I have tried several times to give Joe the chance to at least respond to my calls. That I haven't even been mean or rude about. But when summer did answer she just said she would tell him I still haven't heard back days later!!!!! I started recommending them the day I bought my car. I'm going back to everyone and telling them never go here!!!! :( :( :(

What a disappointment, but boy am I glad I learned my lesson before putting my money down! I've been on the search for the right Honda Fit, and thought I'd found an excellent deal down in Spartanburg from Joe at Carolina Auto Connection (they have a Facebook page, if you care to visit after reading this). On a whim this evening I decided to look up the reviews of this place. OH MAN. So many angry people, so many lemons sold and lies told... in the negative reviews, of course. But wait, there are positive reviews, too... and thus, my education began. Check this out:

Apparently there must be a service out there that businesses can employ to write fake positive reviews and post them on a variety of supposedly "reputable" sites, where you have to have an account. I was so naive! You don't have to be real to have an account! And then I was down the rabbit hole, looking at YellowPages, Google reviews, Citysearch.com, cars.com, and more, finding THE SAME REVIEWS over and over, verbatim, spelling mistakes the same and everything, from different "users" at different times of different years. It was fun at first to start compiling them, and I felt like a real sleuth, and then it just got tiring and depressing. I looked into a few of these "users" and all of their reviews are vague, ranging all over the country, mostly for hotels and used car places, all glowing, all (unsurprisingly) found on multiple websites. So. Guess I should listen to the real people-- aka, the negative reviews-- and not spend any more time looking into that sweet little Fit. Bummer.

Please look up any of the positive reviews on here and you'll see they are NOT REAL.

Coming all the way from Germany.... ......to purchase a vehicle at Carolina Auto Connection was definitely worth the trip. I came to South Carolina for a one-year work project and was searching online for a nice car. I am very happy with my purchase at Carolina Auto Connection. I bought a car that I was not happy with and Joe let me trade it! That's something not just any car dealer would do. I was searching online for a good "daily driver" and saw one of their cars posted on Craigslist. It was priced below book value, so I was skeptical and didn't want to get my hopes up. But, I went to their lot and took a test drive and knew it was the right car for me. This was 7 months ago, and my car is still going strong and looking great. No, they didn't negotiate on the price, but I'm not a big negotiator anyway and the price was right to begin with, in my opinion. Overall I'm really happy that I found Carolina Auto Connection and decided to give them a chance. I'd trust them again and I recommend them often.

But, it's still running great and I'm super happy! I felt no pressure shopping with these guys, and they treated me really well through the whole process. i believed all the positive reviews on here and got ripped off. the car these guys sold me needs extensive repairs that there is no way they could not have known about. do not buy a car here without getting it checked out by a mechanic you trust. or, to be on the safe side, you could just not buy a car here.

My husband and I saw one of Carolina Auto Connections ads for a car we were interested in on the internet. We called inquiring about it, the person who answered was very professional and informative. We went to look at the car, it was exactly as described in the ad and on the phone at a great price. We decided to buy it, the whole process took no more than 15 minutes.
