I am not sure why I bother with reviewing this person except that he was my insurance agent for almost twenty years and I paid him over forty thousand dollars in premiums and during Hurricane Ike he used unprofessional slight of hand to reduce my claim and not cover all the damage., He cost me over ten thousand dollars out of my own pocket to make my home livable again. Here is the technique that he used so note well. After two weeks of calling him and Farmer's they sent an adjuster out. He was not local and after this visit I could not contact him again. We went over and around my property which by that time I had already cleared myself of over thirty downed trees. He took notes and then cut me a small check to get by for a time. My bank is a thousand miles from here and that was a pain but I understand. But what they failed to note was the fine print which released them from liability. As I began reroofing, replacing support beams, replacing many broken windows which I had taped up, they sent another check which did not nearly cover the expenses. When I complained they send another adjuster and then another and another...altogether about a dozen so that details fell through the cracks and my ongoing repairs were never accounted for. SO my suggestion to record and document every word that they say either in person or on the phone to prevent them from this slight of hand. When the adjuster visits do a walk through with a video camera and make sure he speaks clearly so when you have to sue them your lawyer will have all the evidence to make them keep their promises.
