Very honest people. They never try to sell you anything you don`t need. I have been going there for 20 years with several cars and I have sent family and friends, never a bad experience,only praise. A good repair shop with fair prices is hard to find but this really is it. The friendly and professional staff made me comfortable from the first time I walked in the door.

MG serviced our family cars for 20+ years, even before they moved to clove rd. Now we live in NJ and still travel to SI for repairs at MG. I'm actually in the process of having my car towed there now rather than get robbed in NJ. They are helpful, and honest repair shop. Never adds unnecessary costs, prices are very reasonable. Honest mechanics are so hard to find I would travel several states to get there.

It's so hard to find good honest mechanics, these guys are much more than that! I live in jersey and I trust my car with only them, hopefully they'll be around for as long as I'm on the road!

These guys are the best! I trust my car with only their shop! Have been using them for 17 yrs. now, and my husband and his mother many more.To be honest , sometimes you have to wait a couple of days, but its worth the wait. They are in high demand. I believe because they are honest, fair , loyal and all around great people...good luck finding that today in any business. Once I went on vacation, and while I was away my husband decided to surprise me and get some work done to 'MY" car. Then I realized that MG Auto was not open, because they were on vacation. I lost my mind when I realized he had taking my car somewhere else. He said "I was trying to do something nice." I said "Its like taking me or the kids to another Doc" They are NOT all the same. Please dont ever take my car to anyone else! We were over charged and I also felt violated. Wanted to share this story, to get the message out there. You put the lives of everyone that goes into your vehicle, so dont just let anyone touch it that you dont trust. I found these guys by accident (literally) shortly after I moved to Staten Island two years ago. They are true professionals and gentlemen, and they even seem to like what they do.



Coming from a small town upstate, I was a worried about getting swindled by an auto mechanic in SI. Not to worry.



Mario and G are always friendly, and when I call they can usually get me an appointment the very next day. They work quickly. They never add extra charges or try to sell me anything I don't need. If you ask them to do something with your car, they will do that and only that. If they think you need something additional, they will talk to you about it, but there's never any pressure. They even find ways to save you money if they can.



My girlfriend and I have brought both of our cars to M G Auto Center for everything, from simple state inspections, to major repairs, even replacing glass. They treat us both with absolute respect. It's always a good experience and almost always costs less than I expect.



I just moved from Staten Island to Brooklyn, but I still drive back over the bridge to M G when I need my car looked at.
