Picked up my car today. I had inspection done and to repair a slow tire leak. When I went to pay him(boss?) I asked what was done. He said repair tire and oil change. I said "I didn't ask for oil change", he said it was done. "I said I didn't need oil change". He kept on insisting I asked for oil change. "I said I never asked for oil change". Then a worker walked in and he asked him what work was done on car. Worker said tire repair and inspection. Then he(boss?) said "ok I made a mistake,at least I'm honest! "YEA RIGHT" To me he was insinuating I'm not honest. Walked out of there very unhappy about my experience. Also they charged me $25 to repair tire leak that was there fault. They changed my tire sensor in that tire about 2-3 months ago. They didn't clean tire correctly where it meets the rib and that's where it was leaking from. He even said to me that was the problem.

I have used Major Auto for big and small repairs and have always been treated with respect and the price is more than fair based on quotes I received from other mechanics. Nice to know there are still honest mechanics on the island.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! I had my car serviced here for a year. I was supposed to be treated as a respected return customer. A 'check engine' indicated a cylinder needed replacing. I had a Hyundai. I gave Gus the car and told him I wanted new, not rebuilt, parts. He charged me 4 times what the OEM parts were on line but I paid because I trusted them. Long story short, the engine continued to misfire, Gus insisted it must be my 'gas'. I went to Hyundai for a diagnosis. Turns out they were charging me for OEM parts and putting in cheap, aftermarket parts that were failing! Gus would not work with me AT ALL! I had to pay Hyundai $250 to learn the truth and then another $200 for OEM parts to replace the $350 in aftermarket parts Gus put in. He actually made an appointment to meet be at the garage to discuss a refund and then was a no show!! He refused to refund any money for the faulty parts. He was so unreasonable and rude to the rep from Discover card that my credit card gave me the money back! NEVER DEAL WITH THEM. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!! THEY ARE CROOKS! CROOKS!!!!

I find although very nice nd always personable they do great work but are totally overpriced and I would not recommend them to anyone.
