Cosmetic eye surgery is an outpatient procedure performed at our practice or an outpatient surgery center. You will be given a general or local anesthetic, and the length of the surgery is typically one to two hours. During the procedure, an incision will be made in the natural crease in the upper lids, and below the lash line in the lower lids. Fat and skin is removed. If excess fat is present in the lower lids, it is sometimes removed through an incision inside the lower lids.
