Overall

Had been considering b- augmen...

Had been considering b- augmentation for a few years, finally went and did it after much research. After three kids, had lost volume and being slim, jogging and exercise made that even more noticeable. Was a little anxious about going under for surgery in general, but everything went great, so incredibly happy with the results, and Dr. Stapenhorst has been wonderful! Highly recommended.

Botox
Dr. Stapenhorst uses a tiny needle to inject Botox® into the muscles of the forehead and the area between the eyebrows. Through his experience, Dr. Stapenhorst knows which muscles to target based on the wrinkles on the patient’s face. Depending on the extent of the wrinkles to be treated, Dr. Stapenhorst may administer several Botox® injections during the treatment session. Typically, the Botox® procedure takes 15 minutes, making Botox® a convenient treatment for women who have little time to spare. Initial results are apparent in two to three days while full results are seen in about one week. Dr. Stapenhorst advises his patients that the results of Botox® injections typically last three to four months.
Eyelid Surgery
There are several gray areas for which insurance companies give special consideration. Eyelid surgery, for example, is usually performed to provide cosmetic improvement, but it could be covered if drooping eyelids are obscuring your vision. When determining whether a procedure will be covered, the insurer often looks at the main reason for the procedure – whether it is for aesthetic improvement or to relieve symptoms not corrected by non-surgical means.
Liposuction
The liposuction procedure consists of two parts. First, small stab incisions are made in the skin. Then a long, thin metal tube called a cannula is used to inject an IV fluid based solution called tumescent solution into the fat tissue where the liposuction will be performed. The tumescent solution helps break up the fat, controls bleeding and assists in pain control. During the second part of the procedure, Dr. Stapenhorst uses a technique called power assisted liposuction to remove the unwanted fat. The power assisted liposuction technique uses a suction cannula connected to a machine that vibrates the cannula rapidly forward and back. This vibration helps to further break up the fat and allows it to be more easily suctioned. Liposuction is typically performed with the patient completely asleep under a general anesthetic. When the desired goal is reached and the procedure is complete, Dr. Stapenhorst closes the small incisions used for cannula access.

Dr. Stapenhorst offers Breast Reconstruction surgery to cancer survivors for a renewed look and a restored sense of confidence. While each case is different, the overall goal of Breast Reconstruction is to replace the breast tissue that was removed during the mastectomy using implants or the body’s own tissue.

A mini Tummy Tuck is recommended by Dr. Stapenhorst for patients whose excess skin and fat is limited to the area below the belly button. After the procedure, significant weight gain can diminish the improvement in the abdominal area. Dr. Stapenhorst recommends that the patient practice healthy habits, including diet and exercise, after the Tummy Tuck procedure.

Dr. Stapenhorst offers treatment for skin cancer and encourages the community to wear sunscreen to protect themselves from the sun’s harsh rays.
