Other subsidiaries are engaged in waterborne transportation, coal, and synthetic fuel production and electric generation and distribution in Guatemala. TECO Energy is headquartered in Tampa, Fla. Tampa Electric is a subsidiary of TECO and a regulated electric utility with more than 4,400 megawatts of generating capacity. Tampa Electric s service area covers 2,000 square miles in West Central Florida, including nearly all of Hillsborough County and parts of Polk, Pasco and Pinellas counties in Florida. More than 625,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers depend on Tampa Electric for reliable power.

        customer service was very professional when i called there was a late notice send out which i never receive they were very compdated to hold off discconnect service til friday which was payday
