What I can say about news junkyard is the Marcus Hook branch boss that runs it his name is Tom and I believe he is a very racist man every time I've had went there and ask for a part he just looks at me and says we don't have it I actually needed a transmission one time he looked at me said he didn't have it and I got frustrated walked out into the yard and there's a very nice old man that works in the yard I asked him for the transmission and he took me to five different cars in that yard and he sold it to me but the guy who runs the place is a very nasty person and the Chester branch which is on 9th Street they are very nice as well the girl that works in there is very nice and she will help you get what you need

While the location may not be the best, they always come through with great service. And if you need a part to some old car, they almost always have it.

Been going there forever. Never once felt like they were getting over. Good job, good prices. Not going anywhere else.

Been a patron of lou's since 1991. Quality no nonsense upfront mechanics. The place may look a bit disorganized but don't let that stop you. These guy's know what they're about. You would be hard pressed to find the kind of honesty these mechanics bring to the table. A rare bunch indeed. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Lou's for more than 20 years. They are down to earth, no nonsense guy's that know what their doing and it's always cheaper than I expect.I always think I will have to pay more, but then Jimmy (the owner) always surprises me with a bff erythromycin reasonable fee for great work. I have also had cars that weren't worth fixing and he will tell you that and it's up to you as to what you want after that but most mechanics will fix the car to make it run and it will break down again a month later. Also, if it's something very small, they have helped me put something on for free. Bottom line, good service, great prices, great people. Just make sure you don't have to go to the bathroom if your a woman. They have one but......only as a last resort. Lol!

My guy has been getting parts from Lou's since I can remember. He's always told me bout how great/reliable and honest they are. He's taking his car there Fri for 2diff things needing to be done. The price he was given was better than where he USED to take it. They don't rip you off and best of all? They're right there in the neighborhood!

The guys at this shop are terrific. They've been around for a pretty long time and provide great service, straight shooting, and no run arounds. If they don't have a part or whatever it is your looking for, they'll be up front about it, and they'll even direct you to where you need to go. Most of the time though, they have what you need and can fix the problem. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs vehicle repair/spare parts.

I like the professional service, My car is always ready when they say that it is. I never had to bring it back due to the work not being completed. I like the fact that they quote me the price and the price never changes when I come to pick up my vehicle. I like the factg that they test drive my car before giving it back to me to ensure that the problem is fixed. They do a fantastic job and it doesn't matter what type of vehicle that you bring in. Most importantly, they are honest and do not take advantage of female drivers by increasing the cost of the repairs. I will be bringing my vehicle to them this weekend to check on a problem re: engine light etc.

I agree with the other reviewer.I have been going to Lou's for over 20 yrs. and they have alway's given me a fair price and an honest opinion even if I did not want to hear it.I took my car in for somethng minor and expected at least 20 buck's.they did it for free.I don't know any other place that would have done that.the owner Jimmy is a great guy with a big heart.I would and do recommend this place to everybody.

An excellent place to get your state inspection and get work done to your car. Honest and no hassel businessmen. You do not have to worry about getting beat around the bush or ripped off. These guys mean business. They will tell you whats wrong and let you know when exactly needs to be fixed. I highly recommend to others. Hard to finds honest mechanics like these guys. High amount of spare parts for great prices. 5 stars for great service, honesty, and reliablity.
