Our pets feel pain and discomfort just as we do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care and vitally important to their long term health and happiness. If your pet limps, is slow to get up or lie down, doesn't want to jump into the car (or elsewhere), doesn't want to be petted anymore or just seems more irritable then pain may be the problem. Many people attribute these signs to general aging changes, but often it's not that simple. Dogs and cats are masters at masking the pain they endure. This disguise is an inherited survival tactic. Our goal is to prevent/eliminate this unnecessary suffering by offering many solutions to this very serious problem for pets of all ages.
Skin Condition and Allergy Treatment
In 2014 we implemented a Companion Therapy Laser into our practice. Since then, it has become a favorite tool of both our staff and our patients. It’s amazing to see the difference in tissue health that we see after just a few treatments. Our common uses are post op- surgical incisions and swelling, trauma and swelling, allergic reactions, arthritis, and more! This non-painful tool gives us a step up in speed of recovery and healing!

Cancer Treatment
Pets diagnosed with cancer are referred to a veterinary oncologist. In select cases, after examination by the oncologist, pets are sent back to us for treatment, where we administer the chemotherapy that is prescribed. This is usually done weekly.

Both routine and more complicated surgeries are performed at Animal Medical Clinic. Pre-anesthetic screening, IV catheter placement with intra-operative fluids, specialized monitoring, and pain management are all utilized to reduce anesthetic risk, helping make your pet’s surgery as safe and comfortable as possible. When your pet has fully recovered from surgery, our staff will provide detailed instructions on post surgical care for your beloved pet at home.

Laboratory Services
Diagnostic lab work is a vital key in diagnosing your pet’s illnesses and in detecting early signs of disease in regular health screening. In early stages of disease, many subtle changes occur in the blood that can give us hints of future problems before they become serious. When we can detect these changes early, we can often make minor changes in diet or institute medications that will yield a longer, healthier life for your pet. We offer full diagnostic services including heart worm testing, cytology, complete analysis of routine blood work, urine and fecal samples, with referral for specialty testing as needed.
X-Ray

Each individual procedure will vary from pet to pet and condition to condition. As with humans, the older the individual the more precaution needs to bee taken.
