Independence Physical Therapy

The staff is less than friendly. I had to wait long periods of time for my appointments (almost an hour), and then I would not get seen for the full appointment time. I was not contacted regarding an appointment, and then was charged a $50 missed appointment fee! It was the first time (only time) I had missed an appointment, and I was not called to be reminded. I was a regular patient, and was told that they could not even waive the missed appointment fee as a one time courtesy! I wasn't even notified of the missed appt. until a month after the missed appointment, when I was checking out of another appointment, and was informed that I had a past due balance! I had gone in to their office for two more appointments, and had not even been informed of the missed appointment. In my opinion, I am a paying customer, and should be treated with respect. They couldn't waive the missed appt. fee, but yet I was not being seen for the full appt. time, and had to take off from work to wait almost an hour for my appointments. I even asked if they could lower the missed appointment fee amount, since I had not been informed of a missed appointment fee, and was also told no to that as well. A total lack of customer service. I have since found a doctor's office that has a no waiting policy (15 minutes or less), and they don't charge a missed appointment fee unless it becomes habitual. I wouldn't go here unless you have a lot of time and money to waste.
