Established in 1965, Kingston Elementary School is a part of Virginia Beach City Public Schools, which operates more than 70 elementary, middle and high schools. The school provides general academic education to over 650 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers special education services to gifted and talented students. Kingston Elementary School also operates a parent-teacher association that conducts fundraising programs and special activities. The school provides a range of extracurricular activities that includes art, music and physical education. In addition, it organizes book fairs, holiday concerts and cultural events.
