Schumacher Volkswagen of West Palm Beach

I have been a loyal Schumacher customer for the past 2 years after purchasing my VW Jetta at the Northlake location. I had since moved, but continue to drive the miles all the way to West Palm because I trust Schumacher and their service. All I can say is, wow. After booking a reservation online for a 40K service, I arrived at Schumacher to be surprised with a "few hours" wait and an almost $500 bill for what was stated as a very comprehensive service, but was actually an oil change, air filter replacement and tire rotation. (As well as a very poor car wash.) After completing the "few hours" service in one hour, I listened as the Assistant Service Manager called the gentlemen in the back to ask "how many hours for a 40K", to which the gentlemen replied "three". So even though my car was only worked on for an hour, I'm still charged for three hours worth of labor? In my many attempts to contact the Manager, my boyfriend was able to be connected to some other employee to discuss the charges. During this conversation, this employee proceeded to look for an itemized receipt, where he "covered the phone" to tell his colleague that my boyfriend is an "a**hole for not looking at the receipt before calling". While the absolutely unbelievable price is one thing, this kind of "management" behavior is appalling.



As for the outrageous cost for a glorified oil change, I advised they change their website to indicate a price when individuals are looking to book an appointment so they are not bombarded by the cost when they arrive. I imagine that as someone who NEVER complains, if I am very upset about it, I can guess others are as well. And to top it all off, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my vehicle. $500 well spent.



It's so unfortunate, but you're better off going to Jiffy Lube.

Went to the one off of Northlake and they went above and beyond! Helped me find the right loan and stayed in constant contact with me throughout the whole process. Once I got the car (convertible) I noticed a small leak and they took care of it for me free of charge even though I bought it "as is". They definitely made my first car purchase an enjoyable one.

Found a 2009 VW Jetta there. I shopped other places before them because I just predicative that they would be expensive (luxury brands). The car is completely loaded to the hilt. Everything from sunroof, leather everything you can think of and I paid less then a car that another dealership had with no options....none!! This car only had 32k miles while the other one had 41k miles. I definitely recommend them.
