Mehta, Viren, MD

I had surgery a few weeks back and went Dr Mehta for follow up. Since I am new to the area I do not have a babysitter and had to take my children with me to my appt. Since I've always taken then to my appt I didnt think it would pose a problem. Dr. Mehta refused to give my my diagnosis because my children were present. My kids are 6,4, and 1 and would have no clue as to what we are saying. He only told me I had a "serious medical condition" and told me to reschedule and made me feel very bad for having brought my kids with me. Keep in mind the entire waiting room was full of kids. So I walk out of there in tears and not knowing how lethal my condition is. I know am in the process of getting another doctor to find out what exactly is wrong. This Doctor is very rude and unprofessional. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the medical board.
