Hiro Japanese Steakhouse

I was VERY disappointed in my recent visit. I came in for Hibachi style with 2 of my sons and a nephew. The waiter didn't realize we were in his section so we weren't greeted for 10 years. Chef forgot my son's steak and had to leave to go get one. Chef did not have enough noodles to go around. One of my sons and myself did not get a single noodle. Chef did not cook proper amount of chicken. I ordered a beef filet & chicken combo. Chef was serving clockwise and had 4 little squares of chicken left by the time he got around to me. We had to call the waiter to our table in order to get drink refills and the waiter spilled Sprite on my table right beside my plate (a decent amount!) and did NOT come back to clean it up. Waiter never pre-bussed our salad and soup plates...I finally flagged him down yet again and requested he do so.



I've been to Hiro at least 50 times and has always been really good. I left a $1.00 protest tip and a note on the credit card receipt letting management know service was awful and did not even receive all of our meal. I was disappointed enough to stop by the restaurant the next day to share my complaint. Owner was not in but spoke with the hostess who remembered us from the night before and assured me that the owner would be contacting me to make it right, I left my contact info.



Never heard from the owner - so I suppose I'm done with Hiro. Debating charging back my $100 credit card purchase as the product wasn't right and service was horrible. I should have been concerned when there was no wait and plenty of open tables on a Friday night at 7pm.........

They are part of our family and watched our kids grow up. The food is so good and tasty. Its always nice to have a good show to watch, the chef's are great!

The hibachi is horrible,sushi is not fresh.....i dont want to eat that. My mom said why you want eat here.we wait for two hours for the food and is not good. I will not come back.

Unhappy.We eat there at sat last week,it is not good at all. The food and service is bad,i want some drink,she take it half hour later,but she was stand there talk to someone.I don't know why people say they good???/ I will not go back. it aways some where better.

Love it! A little pricey, but that is expected with any Japanese Steakhouse. But, definitely worth it!

If you want awesome japanese food Hiro is the place! My family and friends drive over a hour a few times a week to eat there. We have 3 Japanese steak houses where we live and none taste like Hiro! All the chef's are amazing! My kids love the place!

We had my sons 16th birthday there. The food was awesome , cooked perfectly, and so entertaining.

Hiro's on Eastwood Drive in Wilmington is by far the best place to eat authentic sushi!
