My wife and I had a truly remarkable experience and would like to take this opportunity to recognize Nancy Mullineaux and her team at Home Design Resources as truly being a top notch local business, well deserving of 5 star ratings in all categories of operation.

Recent newlyweds with the wedding and honeymoon behind us we were eager to begin the process of updating and transforming our kitchen and dining space into one we could truly be proud of and which reflected our personalities and our deep love for coastal colors; functionality for cooking and entertaining guests was also a priority.

We began the renovation process on our own but quickly realized we were in over our head when it came to making crucial design decisions including coordinating backsplash, countertop, furniture and paint selections. We found numerous products online that we liked and felt would work for our space; however, after having to pay to return a set of bar stools purchased online because they didn’t work for our space, we decided it was time to consult with a professional interior designer.

Nancy Mullineaux’s expertise saved us countless hours, headaches and made the renovation process painless and completely stress-free. Nancy and her team manage all aspects from ordering, shipping, inspecting each item and scheduling product installation or delivery. We were absolutely stunned by the quality of materials and custom furnishings that Home Design Resources was able to offer us. Most notably, Nancy recommended a unique option for our backsplash that we would have never had access to without her professional design connections. The backsplash continues to be a conversation piece to all who visit our home. Nancy provided us with a wide selection of affordable options for backsplash, quartz counter tops and custom dining chairs that would not only complement each other but bring unity to our adjoining open living room decor.

In short, Nancy and the team at Home Design Resources made it possible for a young couple to utilize professional interior design services, obtain the highest quality materials and products while remaining affordable and within budget. Nancy was able to bring our dream of a youthful yet classic modern coastal style to life. We plan to consult with Nancy again in the future when we are ready to update other areas in our home.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Nancy and her dedicated design team on the 10-month long construction of our new home.

We were fortunate that a good friend of ours, who had moved to the area several years earlier, had a wonderful recommendation for us for an interior designer – Nancy Mullineaux – who had helped design their custom home, which we incidentally loved.

Over the course of the project Nancy and her team consistently kept us updated and informed on our project timelines, and never ceased to work in a collaborative effort with our builder, architect, etc. It was a true team effort and it made the potentially stressful aspect of building a new home a relaxing, enjoyable and actually FUN experience because we knew what good hands we were in.

An added benefit of working with Nancy is the incredible array of resources she has available in her retail showroom. We were saved the inconvenience and aggravation of having to run all over town trying to coordinate our tile, wood & carpet, cabinets with countertops, paint and everything else needed since she offered it all under one roof. Being a very price conscious consumer having worked in the banking industry for forty years, I was pleasantly surprised by how far our budget went thanks to Nancy’s “cost-plus” pricing structure, which allowed us to purchase everything we needed at contractor’s pricing.

We were even able to furnish our entire home with customized furniture, accessories, lamps, tables, chairs, custom bedding, blinds etc. Pretty much everything we needed for our new home all from Nancy's showroom catalogs.

Our experience of tackling building a custom house resulted in a beautiful home that we love, and that evolved into being a true reflection of us and our busy lifestyle of entertaining along with our growing family, dogs and grandchildren. I couldn’t recommend Nancy and her imaginative and resourceful team at Dezign Inspirations/ Home Design Resource more highly!

A customer of Nancy Mullineaux’s referred us to Home Design Resource. Not only were they very satisfied, but we also had the opportunity to see Nancy’s work in their home. This led us to call Nancy and immediately developed a great relationship.

Nancy was and still is attentive not only to our taste’s, but to the reality of our budget. In our case, we could not afford everything all at once, so Nancy helped develop a phased approach that allowed us to realize our vision for our new home. As our new home was being built, we had the additional challenge of being hundreds of miles from Nancy and our new house. This did not stop Nancy and her staff from continuing their excellent customer service. Nancy’s professional expertise and technical knowledge is invaluable. While building our new house in River Landing, Wallace, NC, we were having the hardest time with some of the simplest decisions and realized that we needed help. After contacting several new friends here, "Nancy Mullineaux," "Home Design Resource," and "Dezine Inspirations" kept coming up. After our initial consultaion we, too, were sold on Nancy. She and Dana make a great team and kept us on track through each step of the selection process for tiles, kitchen back splash, granite, carpet, room colors, and window treatments. We interviewed several designers during our selection process for the building of our oceanfront home. We first became acquainted with Nancy Mullineaux, of Dezign Inpirations/Home Design Resource, when we visited a home where she had been the interior designer. We both liked what she had created. Our interview with Nancy solidified selecting her and the Dezign Inspirations team as our choice to assist us with the interior design of our home. We were impressed with her portfolio, vast selection of materials, and upbeat and energetic personality.

Our project encompassed several years. From the beginning, Nancy and her design team understood the type of home we wanted to build, and they helped us to professionally convey that image to all who were involved. Nancy was always very diplomatic but stood her ground when dealing with our architect, builder, and the many craftsmen who worked on our home.

Nancy has a great eye for color. Each of our bedrooms has its own distinctive personality. The creative approach she used ensured that each room is unique. Nancy was especially successful in creating a coastal bedroom using my parents' 80 year old rosewood furniture.

Nancy and her design team were just as enthusiastic and energetic about our project at the end of it as they were in the beginning. Nancy possesses tremendous energy and always has a positive attitude.

We are very thankful we found Nancy and her design team. Having a home on the beach has always been a dream. The Dezign Inspirations/Home Design team helped us build our dream home by creatively incorporating elements of the ocean and sand throughout. They were instrumental in making our dream a reality.

A bonus of the project is that our relationship became more then a client/designer one. We developed a friendship that still continues for years after we moved into our home.
