I was very impressed and happy to see the weigh dropping so fast and feeling so good and energetic. I lost 22 lbs in a 3 month period. I can do well in a high protein diet, however probiotics or fiber should be taken from the beginning. The staff was friendly and I felt they really cared. I spent a lot of money but it was worth it.

My most recent experience with Medi was over 3 years ago. I was a new mom and and stuggling with my weight. With the help of Medi, I was able to lose a substancial amount 30+ pounds in the short time I was going to Medi. The staff was amazing, very personable and considerate. Unfortunately I lost my job and was unable to afford to complete my program with Medi. I did however, received wonderful comments about how great I was looking. Some people didnt even recognize me because the weight just melted off. I felt great about myself, my self esteem sky rocketed. I was able to go to the beach in a bikini! And best of all I felt so much better, I was physically fit, and able to be active with my daughter.

Joining Medi was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I lost 41 lbs. and it has made a positive impact on my health and in my life. I love the staff at Medi!

I had great results while on the program. The cost was an issue going forward and I had to stop. I have gained back much of the weight and would definitely do the program again when I can afford it.

I have lost a total of 20 lbs so far, still having 5 more to a goal weight. Of this lost, 18 lbs are fat! The program has been beneficial, staff accommodating and facilities very nice. I have yet to experience the phase after Acute to comment on the follow on. Although the process has been costly, it has helped me learn what my body can take in and lose weight, unlike other programs that rely on points, this program stresses the importance of protein. Having to come in and be accountable each week is also very helpful with keeping you on track. I also feel the vitamins and supplements have made me feel better and I am excited to see how my cholesterol has changed. I would recommend the program to anyone!

I am in week 18 and have lost 40 pounds. I have joined the local Y and am exercising regularly. I have not reached my goal but will soon and plan to do the maintenance program. My family and friends are amazed at the change. The staff at Ballentyne have become my friends. Nothing but positive changes here. Well I do miss bread.

I decided to try Medi after speaking with a friend who had done it and was successful. She said she loved the staff at Ballantyne and so I was excited to try. From the beginning, I wasn't impressed with their customer service, the technician who greeted me didn't introduce herself and wasn't very amicable. I had my initial weigh in and nutritional counseling and was excited but went home feeling like i was missing information. They had never explained the Tanita slip (weight breakdown), the significance, how I should read it and things to pay attention to, I had to ask. Nor did I get an explanation about how/why the diet they recommend worked, any of the science behind it etc. I saw 3 different nutrition counselors in 5 weeks time that had told me conflicting information about what I should be eating and how much I should be losing each week. When I asked about a vegetarian diet so I could include some recipes along with the meat heavy meals on the regular plan, I was told I'd lose more weight on the meat plan with no other discussion about answering my questions or interest in not consuming only meat. I feel like if you are paying $70-$80+ a week for nutritional counseling, not to mention the $300 to join, I feel like they should be actively looking at the food journal and explaining how/why the diet plan is formulated the way it is. It is VERY similair to Atkins, except that they emphasize lean meats, instead of any kind of meat/food with no carbs. If you enjoy eating fruits and vegetables and seasonal produce, then this will be very challenging at is a high protein diet with VERY limited fruits and vegetables. Definitley not worth it in my book.
