I have been coming here for over 20 years. They are always busy. The food is cooked to order, and is always fresh. I love catfish, and the hungry man special is so tasty and will fill you up. You get 1lb of catfish with a side for $6.99.

The seafood gumbo is out of this world! I eat here now all the time, since a friend was telling me about this hidden secret gem that was surrounded by scrap metal yards.

River Fish Market to me is the best kept secret in Birmingham. I grew up eating here, and the food is always fresh. I love the family style service I receive when I go there. The second best option is buying the fresh fish, and going home to cook it. I love this place, and I my kids love it also. Superb food...
