I took my dog in for care as she had a slight cough that seemed to not be dissipating. She was misdiagnosed with kennel cough. It turned out that she had a serious illness. While she was being errantly treated for kennel cough this serious illness progressed to the point where, by the time they began treatment for the actual affliction, she could barely breathe. She ended up dying from this disease. In my opinion the dog could possibly have had a better chance had the diagnosis been correct the first time she was brought in.
