Teeth Cleaning
Teeth cleaning (also known as prophylaxis, literally a preventative treatment of a disease) is a procedure for the removal of tartar (mineralized plaque) that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing, especially in areas that are difficult to reach in routine tooth brushing. It is often done by a dental hygienist or a dentist. Professional cleaning includes tooth cleaning and tooth polishingand debridementif too much tartarhas accumulated. This involves the use of various instruments or devices to loosen and remove deposits from the teeth. If plaque and tartar is left on the teeth, it provides the right conditions for bacteria to thrive. The bacteria irritate the gums, which means that they bleed more easily. Dental Sealants
Inlays and onlays require two appointments to complete the procedure. During the first visit, the filling being replaced or the damaged/decaying area of the tooth is removed, and the tooth is prepared for the inlay or onlay. To ensure proper fit and bite, an impression of the tooth is made by Dr. Haghiri, and sent to a lab for fabrication. Dr. Haghiri will then apply a temporary sealant on the tooth and schedule the next appointment.

Resin Composite
Composite resin bonding is a restorative technique that combines ease of use with the capability to match your own enamel shade. Advanced technology makes it possible to replace old silver mercury fillings with beautiful white restorations that are practically invisible. Bonding can also be used on front teeth to repair decay or enhance your smile by repairing chips and fractures in only one visit.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth. They are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility.
Crowns
Crown lengthening can also make certain restorative or cosmetic procedures possible. If your tooth is decayed, broken below the gum line, or has insufficient tooth structure for a restoration, such as a crown or bridge, crown lengthening can be performed to expose more of the tooth so it can be restored.
Bridges
A bridge is a custom device anchored to neighboring teeth that replaces one or more missing teeth. When a lost tooth is replaced with bridgework, the teeth on either side of the missing one most commonly are prepared as crowns to serve as abutments to hold the prosthetic (replacement) tooth in place. Crowns and bridges are most often made from superior materials such as semiprecious or precious metals, porcelain, or a fused combination of the two. Aesthetics, function, and tissue compatibility are considered when selecting the material most suitable for you.
Dental Bonding

Root Canal Treatment
In American Dental Center, our dentists recommend root canal treatment when decay will likely damage or has already killed a tooth. During a root canal, the dentist removes the pulp from the center of a tooth and fills the pulp cavity. This can prevent the development of a painful infection in the pulp that may spread to other teeth. A root canal can also treat an infection that has developed into an abscessed tooth. This procedure can relieve toothache, stop infection, and promote healing.

Deep Cleaning
Gum disease can break down the support (bone) structures of the teeth, so that eventually, they will become loose. The problem is that until it gets quite severe, the person often has no symptoms. Sadly, the damage to the support structures of the teeth is irreversible. The good news is that if gum disease is caught in time, its progression can be halted and improved upon, and that is the key. To stop gum disease from progressing, your dentist may advise periodontal therapy, or deep cleaning. This gets rid of the bacteria in the pocket and provides the necessary conditions for healing to occur.

The graft into the area of your jaw that requires more bone tissue, and your body will accept the graft and replace it with the bodies own natural bone and eventually dissolve the graft material. Once the bone is matura, Dr.Haghiri can proceed with implant placement.

Dr. Mina Haghiri is a General Dentist. She graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas Texas June 1998. She worked as an assistant professor in BCD in 1999 along with her private practice. The focus of her practice is in implant surgery and restoration, oral surgery including wisdom teeth extraction, sinus lift, and bone graft surgery. She also has extensive skills in cosmetic dentistry, providing wide variety of cosmetic services like orthodontics, ceramic crowns, and lumineers.
